I borrowd Creative Play for your baby from the library. The book is albout the Waldorf method of early childhood education. After reading the first chapter I felt like it was written just for me. It is an excellent resource if you are looking for more natural toys for your baby, that are fairly easy to make without much skill. Most of them require simple materials and tools, several of which I already have on hand. One of my favorite ‘toys’ is the treasure box. You don’t even need any crafty skills for this one, just find a box and fill it up with various items that your baby will find interesting. You change out the items after a few days to keep your baby from getting bored.
Kaylee loves it. The first day I gave it to her she spent 30 minutes, on her own, touching and tasting every item. It was great for both of us.
