A friend offered to babysit for us last weekend so we decided to go to the movies. We were looking for a light-hearted comedy and decided on Life As We Know It. The trailers make it look fun, I should have known better. This movie is not a comedy, it’s a 114 minute emotional trap. It wasn’t bad, just painfully sad and hit way too close to home for us as new parents. We cried more than we laughed and were left with lingering questions about our own life, like who should get Kaylee and how well she will be provided for if we die. I know these are things we should have already decided on. Honestly, we have had several conversations on this topic but they mostly revolve around who we definitely don’t want to leave her with before quickly changing the subject on to something a little less depressing.
We need a will, and god parents, stat!
